Gosh... It's been such a busy week... BB, BB, BB non-stop.... I just came back from KL State Officers Council meeting. It's great to see so many officers passionate about BB work... I know, I am a totally bad example as I have missed the last 2 meetings.. or is it 3? We have so many state-level events coming up like the BNTS clinic, BNTS 2011, Founder's Day and KUL Games... and not forgetting the controversial National Drill Camp. Why I say controversial is because its getting all sorts of feedback. I mean, come on, what do they (people at the top) expect when they want to organize a National Drill Camp and enforce a standardize drill using the Sarawak State drill. I am not saying its right or wrong. I am just saying that if they want to standardize drill and to conduct a drill camp, please use it to get more input from others instead of just one state. Isshhhh... Ok. I better stop.. I do not like conflict. I am a peaceful person. I am a peaceful person. I am a peaceful person.
10th KL 14th Awards Day is just in.... OMG!!! is tomorrow!!! I've been taking things so lightly. I think its because I've been organizing it so many times that its just so easy peasy piece of cake... but now, I am starting to worry that I am not worried at all... Gosh!! No time to panic. Still so much work to be done... Need to send out some invites that I have forgotten, update the working schedule that was suppose to be send out like 2 days ago, help Byap with his multimedia presentation, look into the MC script, collect badges from BBM, re-look into the NCO Star Proficiency list, work out the arrangements for the presentation, prepare my thank you speech... argghh! I don't like giving speeches...Training no problem. Lecturing no problem. But speeches are not my thing... It just seem so formal...
Anyway, before I get started on my list of things... Here are some pictures from the Junior Outing last week. We took the juniors out to watch Captain America last Saturday. The plan was to meet in Sri Petaling LRT station, stop at Bandar Tasik Selatan and then take KTM to Midvalley. Brunch @ McD and movie @ 11.30am. Movie end at 1.30pm. Leave Midvalley via train. Arrive back in Sri Petaling LRT station by 2.30pm. Solid plan.. Oh so we thought...
On that morning, I got a call from the Sunbeam Home helper saying that they are at Bukit Jalil LRT station and the bus have already left. Darn!!! I was at home as I was suppose to meet them straight at Midvalley. Few calls later, logistics worked out, tickets all settle and they proceeded to board the train. LRT was fine. KTM was NOT fine. Packed with people, the children all had to squeeze into different trains and stand the whole time. Not fun at all... Made it to Midvalley. Brunch was a long wait as they were a lot of people and we we had a lot of people too.. 37 boxes of Happy Meals later, its movie time. Some got stuck in the toilets, some went into the cinema first, some toilet breaks during the movie, much spilling of pop-corns, 2 hours later... its over. Or so I thought. When we came out, one of the smallest member we have, a tiny sized boy, had a swollen eye.. And I mean really really swollen. Ok, let me describe it. The white part of the eyes was swollen causing the whole pupils to look like its had sunk in. Let me try to draw a diagram...
Ok. I suck at drawing. I didn't take a picture cos I was panicking didn't think about it that time... It looked like a volcano crater. Its like when you look at his eye, it seems like his pupils sunk into his eyesballs but actually, the white part was swollen like a balloon. Seriously... Freaky.. So we rushed him to the eye specialist in Midvalley. ISEC. AS it was a Saturday, most doctors were gone. Only 1 was left. After a long wait, we were ushered in, the doctor did some usual check and concluded that it was a infection. * obviously* I don't need an expert to tell me that. 2 eye drops later and RM62 poorer *they were nice enought to waived the RM250 consultation fee as the boy is from an orphanage*, we were set to leave. Anyway, to cut the already long story short, I drove him back to his home. Home = orphanage. Made sure that the instruction given by the doctor were communicated clearly to home supervisor and got ready to go. It was already evening and I went straight for 3rd KL's Enrollment & Awards Day.

So yeah, that's the end of the Junior Outing. Its been fun... its been tiring... Lesson learned, don't take train, especially KTM, next time...
Oh, on another note, BB Asia invited me to go Manila, Philippines end of this month as a trainer for their BOTS & BNTS... YAY!!! I'm so excited about it...
And... another OMG thing... I just found out Leigh linked my blog.. Who is he? He is a BB Officer from 1st KL who used to bully me whenever I visited 1st KL :) and he is the most sadistic guy I've known... (not sure if he still is but I am guessing that aging have not soften him). But yet he is a senior/ mentor/ older officer which taught me valuable lessons in and about BB... (can't believe I am saying this) but yes he did.. Anyway, he writes The Book of Wong, so go check it out... lots of interesting info about Boys' Brigade...
